Learning Assistant (Teaching & Bus Support)

About the role

The Learning Assistant at Smart Vision School combines classroom support and bus supervision duties. You will work closely with teachers to enhance student learning and with drivers to ensure safe transport, contributing to a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering lessons, preparing materials, and providing individual or small‑group support, especially for Students of Determination and ELL learners.
• Supervise students during class activities, break times, and school events, promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing.
• Ensure safe boarding and alighting on the school bus, maintain accurate attendance records, and assist younger students with seat belts.
• Report any concerns related to student welfare, safeguarding, or transport incidents to the appropriate staff.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and adhere to KHDA and UAE Ministry of Education safety and safeguarding policies.

Required profile

• Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with teachers and staff.
• Patient, caring, and supportive attitude toward students.
• Understanding of child safety and wellbeing responsibilities.
• Desirable: previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, LSA, or Bus Attendant; experience supporting Students of Determination or ELL learners; experience in UAE schools.
