Legal Advisor

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Advisor to provide comprehensive legal support for employment, labour and commercial matters in the United Arab Emirates. The role involves advising internal stakeholders, drafting and reviewing a wide range of contracts, and supporting the resolution of disputes while ensuring compliance with UAE legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on employment and labour issues in line with UAE law.
• Draft, review and amend employment agreements, settlement agreements, policies and other legal documents.
• Advise on employee relations matters such as disciplinary actions, grievances, investigations and terminations.
• Review, draft and negotiate commercial agreements, service contracts, vendor and confidentiality agreements.
• Identify contractual, regulatory and legal risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Support handling of legal disputes, claims, complaints and litigation, liaising with external counsel as needed.
• Prepare legal notices, correspondence and formal documentation.
• Conduct legal research and monitor developments in UAE laws and regulations.
• Review internal policies from a legal and compliance perspective and support organisational changes.
• Monitor contractual obligations, statutory deadlines and maintain accurate records of contracts and disputes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or equivalent legal qualification.
• Relevant UAE experience as an in‑house Legal Advisor or Legal Counsel.
• Strong knowledge of UAE Labour Law and employment‑related matters.
• Solid experience in commercial contracts, corporate agreements and general legal advisory.
• Experience handling or supporting disputes and litigation matters.
• Proven ability to coordinate with external law firms and counsel.
• Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, research and analytical skills.
• High level of discretion, integrity and confidentiality.
