Legal Counsel – ADGM Courts

About the role

The ADGM Courts are the common‑law courts of Abu Dhabi’s International Financial Centre. As a Legal Counsel you will support judges, the registrar and senior legal staff in managing civil and commercial claims, ensuring efficient case handling and high‑quality legal documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse claim forms, filings and supporting documents across all court divisions.
• Draft routine court documents, correspondence and procedural manuals autonomously.
• Assist senior legal counsel and the registrar with research projects, judgment summaries and stakeholder presentations.
• Provide information on court procedures to legal practitioners, government agencies and the public.
• Respond to oral and written enquiries from parties, lawyers and other stakeholders.
• Support the enhancement of electronic court services and propose improvements to systems and processes.
• Monitor local and international legislative developments to advise on policy and regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of ADGM Courts legislation, practices and procedures.
• Excellent drafting and proofreading abilities for legal documents.
• Experience in legal research and the preparation of memoranda or summaries.
• Ability to work collaboratively with judges, registrars and senior counsel.
• Awareness of current legislative environment and its impact on court operations.
