Legal Counsel – Commercial & Corporate Law

About the role

Huawei is looking for a Legal Counsel to support its rapidly expanding Cloud Computing and Digital Energy businesses in the UAE. The role involves providing legal advice across a range of commercial, regulatory and corporate matters while working closely with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on UAE Commercial Law, Telecommunications Law, Civil Law, Labour Law, Personal Data Protection Law, Cybercrime Law and related regulations.
• Support Cloud Computing and Digital Energy (Solar) operations from a legal and regulatory perspective.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements with customers, suppliers and strategic partners.
• Identify legal risks and propose commercially practical solutions.
• Guide internal stakeholders on regulatory compliance and day‑to‑day legal issues.
• Coordinate and manage external law firms and legal service providers.
• Assist internal departments with legal governance, contract management and policy implementation.
• Conduct legal research and support compliance initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant legal experience; fresh graduates with excellent academic records may be considered.
• Experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiation.
• Strong knowledge of the UAE legal and regulatory framework.
• Excellent analytical, research and communication skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); Arabic and/or Mandarin Chinese are highly preferred.
• Experience in multinational companies or international law firms is an advantage.
