Legal Counsel – Compliance & Data Privacy

About the role

G+D is seeking a Legal & Compliance Counsel to provide comprehensive legal, compliance, and data privacy support across multiple entities and jurisdictions. This hands‑on role sits at the intersection of legal advisory, governance, and commercial decision‑making within a global security‑technology group.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including customer, supplier, service provider, subcontracting and public tender contracts.
• Provide legal advice on corporate governance, HR, procurement and operational matters.
• Conduct legal research and risk analysis to support business decisions.
• Implement and monitor compliance frameworks across subsidiaries, conduct risk assessments, manage training and oversee incident investigations.
• Develop and maintain internal policies, procedures and best practices, ensuring robust due‑diligence and procurement compliance.
• Act as Data Privacy Officer, ensuring compliance with local and international data‑protection laws, advising on data processing activities, handling data‑subject requests and breach incidents.
• Coordinate with regulators and align with Group Privacy guidelines.

Required profile

• Law degree with at least 6 years of experience in a multinational corporation.
• Strong background in contract law, compliance frameworks and data‑privacy regulations.
• Experience managing external counsel, litigation and arbitration.
• Commercially pragmatic, detail‑oriented and structured with strong stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent in English; French or Arabic is a plus.
