Legal Counsel – Group-wide In‑House Legal Advisor

About the role

The Group is seeking a dedicated in‑house Legal Counsel to provide centralized legal support across its entities in the UAE, Europe and the UK. This role will establish a consistent legal framework, manage contractual and regulatory risk, and act as the primary liaison between the Group and external counsel.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate legal matters across all Group entities, ensuring consistent standards, processes and documentation.
• Liaise with entity management to understand local legal needs and implement Group‑level legal positions.
• Manage and instruct external counsel in multiple jurisdictions, controlling scope, cost and turnaround.
• Provide regular legal updates and reports to the Group Finance Director on negotiations, exposures, disputes and regulatory developments.
• Develop, document and roll out Group legal policies covering contracting authority, signing powers, NDAs, supplier engagements, dispute escalation and external counsel use.
• Establish and maintain a Group‑wide contract review and approval framework, including templates and sign‑off workflows.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts and tenders, supporting project teams and tracking key dates and renewal obligations.
• Draft, review and negotiate consultant and supplier agreements, ensuring risk is identified and mitigated.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an in‑house legal professional supporting multiple jurisdictions (UAE, MENA, Europe, UK).
• Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial and regulatory law applicable to the Group’s activities.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate legal strategy across diverse business units and manage external counsel relationships.
• Excellent contract drafting, negotiation and risk‑assessment skills.
