Legal Manager (Consumer Electronics)

About the role

Our client, a leading consumer electronics organization, is seeking a Legal & Compliance professional to strengthen their regional legal function. The position offers broad exposure across compliance, litigation support, corporate governance and regulatory affairs, covering the UAE, KSA, GCC and Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a core member of the legal team, managing end‑to‑end legal matters with a focus on compliance and litigation.
• Liaise with government authorities and external bodies such as JAFZA, ministries, notary public and police authorities, ensuring effective communication in Arabic.
• Drive cross‑functional implementation of compliance frameworks covering anti‑fraud, anti‑bribery, anti‑corruption, cartel prevention and anti‑money laundering.
• Conduct daily reviews of applications, forms and regulatory documentation to ensure alignment with head‑office policies.
• Research and advise on regional legislation and regulatory requirements, including JAFZA Free Zone regulations across GCC and Africa.
• Support U.S. sanctions and trade‑compliance requirements and assist with arbitration and litigation matters.
• Oversee corporate governance and company secretarial matters, including resolutions, AGMs, annual filings and statutory compliance.
• Manage KSA‑related legal work such as licensing, regulatory compliance, contracts, disputes and liaison with relevant authorities.
• Deliver internal legal awareness sessions and practical training to business teams.

Required profile

• Experience in legal, compliance or corporate governance within a structured organization.
• Strong exposure to regulatory and government‑facing matters.
• Arabic speaker (mandatory).
• Legally qualified and admitted to practice law in any jurisdiction (bar qualification mandatory).
• Commercially astute with strong stakeholder‑management skills.
• Comfortable working across multiple jurisdictions.
