Licensed Flight Dispatcher

About the role

Emirates Group is looking for a Licensed Flight Dispatcher to exercise operational control of Emirates flights in accordance with GCAA regulations. The role ensures safety, regulatory compliance and efficient coordination between flight crews, ground operations and third‑party service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and determine optimal routes and flight altitudes based on economic, meteorological, safety and legal requirements.
• Negotiate user‑preferred routes with Air Traffic Control organisations on a tactical basis.
• Calculate fuel requirements and manage fuel planning to meet economic and safety standards.
• Select take‑off, destination, en‑route, fuel and ETOPS alternate airports in line with legal and company policies.
• Conduct ETOPS diversion and alternate airport strategy analysis for each ETOPS flight.
• Perform take‑off and landing performance calculations and verify regulated aircraft weights.
• Assess commercial payload impact, liaise with Ops Control, EK Skycargo and load control, and optimise payload by adjusting route, speed and altitude.
• Prepare, file and sign ATC flight plans, ensuring all briefing documentation is delivered to operating crews in time.
• Negotiate airport and airway slots with government agencies worldwide to avoid potential delays.

Required profile

• Valid GCAA Flight Dispatcher licence.
• Ability to exercise operational control and supervision of Emirates flights.
• Strong analytical capability for route, fuel and performance calculations.
