Lifeguard

About the role

Salayel Hospitality is looking for a vigilant Lifeguard to ensure the safety of guests at its swimming pools, beaches and other water recreation areas in Abu Dhabi. The role combines constant monitoring, emergency response and friendly guest service in a hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor all pool and water recreation areas, enforce safety rules and regulations.
• Perform water rescues, administer first aid, CPR and use an AED when needed.
• Conduct regular inspections of the pool area, identify hazards and report them promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement of poolside equipment, furniture and lifesaving gear.
• Ensure rescue tubes, first‑aid kits, AEDs and other equipment are ready and functional.
• Assist guests with safety‑related inquiries and provide courteous service.
• Record incidents, accidents and maintenance issues and coordinate with Security, Engineering and Recreation teams.
• Comply with local authority regulations and Salayel Hospitality SOPs.

Required profile

• Valid UAE‑approved Lifeguard certification (Ellis, Red Cross, ILS or equivalent).
• Current CPR, First Aid and AED certifications.
• Previous lifeguarding experience in a hotel, resort or leisure facility is preferred.
• Strong swimming ability and physical fitness.
• Ability to stay calm and act quickly in emergencies.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
