Lifeguard

About the role

Miral Experiences manages and operates immersive attractions in Abu Dhabi, including Ferrari World, Yas Waterworld, Warner Bros. World, SeaWorld, CLYMB and TeamLab. This is a guest-facing lifeguard role focused on guest safety and the smooth delivery of the visitor experience. The position involves watching the water, responding to emergencies, operating rides and attractions, giving clear directions and keeping swimming, lifeguarding and basic life support skills up to date.

Key responsibilities

• Ride all rides, slides and attractions as required for operational purposes.
• Ensure the safety of guests, colleagues and contractors at all times.
• Work at heights, in water and in extreme temperatures outdoors, year-round.
• Follow manufacturer and department guidelines and standard operating procedures for ride dispatch and guest safety.
• Maintain rescue and basic life support skills at test-ready level and follow department training standards.
• Move furniture, ride vehicles and equipment in and out of the park.
• Work nights, evenings and/or holidays; be friendly and able to work in a diverse, culturally aware team.

Required profile

• 20/25 vision, corrected or uncorrected.
• Ability to swim 50 metres non-stop in front crawl or breaststroke, and to swim underwater at 1.4 metres depth for 3 metres and retrieve a 10-pound brick.
• Test-ready lifeguard skills according to the International Lifeguard Training Program.
• Basic spoken English; intermediate or better English (read, write, speak) and basic spoken Arabic are desirable.
• Desirable: UAE driver's licence or buggy licence, SCUBA certification, previous lifeguard or guest service experience, and the ability to swim 200 metres non-stop, tread water for 2 minutes without arms and retrieve a brick from 5 metres deep.
