Lifting Appointed Person

About the role

Emarat Aloula Contracting Co. LLC (EAC) is seeking an experienced Lifting Appointed Person to lead the planning, coordination and safe execution of lifting operations across its Abu Dhabi projects. The role requires strong technical expertise in crane and heavy‑lifting operations, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, client requirements and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise lifting operations on construction sites.
• Prepare, review and approve lifting plans, critical lift plans, method statements and risk assessments.
• Determine appropriate crane configurations, lifting accessories, rigging arrangements and load capacities.
• Verify crane setup, load charts, working radius, boom configuration and ground conditions before each lift.
• Ensure all lifting equipment is inspected, certified, maintained and fit for purpose.
• Conduct pre‑lift meetings, toolbox talks and site inspections to enforce safe working practices.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil or related engineering discipline.
• 8–10 years of lifting/heavy‑lifting experience in construction, EPC or industrial projects.
• Certified Lifting Appointed Person (LEEA/APLO) qualification – mandatory.
• Relevant competency or approval from TAQA, ADNOC, ADSSC or utility authorities – strong advantage.
• Valid UAE driving licence preferred.
