Lighting Specialist

About the role

Arris Engineering Group is seeking a responsible and technically skilled Lighting Specialist with a passion for audiovisual, film and television lighting. The role supports the lighting department on studio sets and on‑location productions, working under the Head of Lighting.

Key responsibilities

• Install, organise and set up lighting equipment on set according to plans or department instructions.
• Assemble and position gear such as Fresnels, LED panels, fluorescent tubes, HMIs, ballasts, dimmers, modifiers and support systems.
• Manage and maintain lighting cables and DMX connections, including labeling, coiling and condition checks.
• Assist in focusing and adjusting lighting setups during rehearsals and recordings.
• Diagnose and resolve basic technical faults.
• Support inventory, maintenance and organisation of lighting equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and clear communication procedures on set.
