Litigation Officer

About the role

The Litigation Officer will represent CBI and its subsidiaries before government authorities, courts and police departments, handling both civil and criminal cases. The role involves providing legal advice across the organisation, ensuring that the Group’s risk exposure is minimised and that all legal matters are properly managed.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and amend statements to courts and other competent authorities for civil and criminal litigation.
• Coordinate with internal departments to collect evidence and support litigation proceedings.
• Monitor litigation updates, work with external counsel to define claim and defence strategies, and protect the Group’s interests.
• Assist external lawyers, attend meetings with court experts, and provide necessary documentation.
• Ensure lawyer fees are paid according to agreed terms.
• Provide regular legal advice on documentation, notarisation, mortgaging, land registration and related matters.
• Prepare or review mortgage contracts and respond to regulatory queries affecting Group customers.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law.
• 0‑3 years of legal experience in a reputable law firm or a financial institution’s legal department.
• Knowledge of UAE Company Law and related regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
• Negotiation and planning abilities.
