Lobby Hostess

About the role

InterContinental Abu Dhabi is looking for a warm, polished and service-oriented Lobby Hostess. As one of the first points of contact for guests, you will help create a welcoming atmosphere and deliver the hospitality experience associated with the InterContinental brand. The role is full time.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and professionally on arrival, giving them a positive first impression.
• Assist guests with general enquiries, directions and information about facilities, services and dining outlets.
• Maintain a visible, approachable presence in the lobby and identify guest needs proactively.
• Coordinate with the Front Office, Concierge, Food & Beverage and other departments for seamless service.
• Help with guest arrivals, departures and special requests, and recognise VIP and returning guests.
• Handle guest feedback and concerns professionally, escalating matters when needed.
• Keep the lobby and guest-facing areas welcoming, organised and presentable.
• Stay informed about promotions, events and services, and uphold brand standards.

Required profile

• Previous guest relations, front office, hostessing or similar customer-facing hospitality experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and confident personality.
• Professional grooming, a positive attitude and a welcoming demeanour.
• Ability to communicate in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Strong organisation, multitasking in a fast pace, and calmness under pressure.
• Flexibility to work rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
