Logistics Administrator – Shipping Operations

About the role

To administer and handle shipment and transport operations in order to fulfil the Company’s obligations to its customers as per the agreed terms and conditions. The role involves coordinating with production scheduling, shipping lines and transporters to ensure timely deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate shipments to appropriate vessel or transporter companies and enter schedules into the system.
• Coordinate with Production Scheduling, CFS and shipping/transport companies to meet agreed shipment schedules.
• Communicate shipment status verbally and in writing with shipping lines, transporters and freight forwarders.
• Track shipments and deliveries through completion and confirm receipt in the system.
• Perform required administrative duties to support shipment operations.
• Monitor task progress, escalating issues to the line manager to prevent problems.

Required profile

• Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
• 1‑2 years of experience in export shipping and logistics.
• Good verbal and written communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail, strong organisational abilities.
