Logistics & Customer Service Representative – Dubai

About the role

We are hiring a Logistics & Customer Service Representative in Dubai to support our client’s international trade and supply chain operations within the chemical distribution industry. The role involves coordinating with suppliers, customers and logistics partners to ensure smooth shipment handling, accurate documentation and timely order updates.

Key responsibilities

• Place purchase orders with international suppliers, mainly in China, India and other overseas markets.
• Follow up on shipments and coordinate delivery timelines.
• Prepare and review shipping documents such as Bills of Lading, invoices, packing lists and shipping markings.
• Send Proforma Invoices (PFI) to customers.
• Communicate with customers on shipment progress, delivery schedules and order updates.
• Handle and resolve shipment‑related issues, delays or documentation discrepancies.
• Coordinate Letter of Credit (LC) issuance and related documentation with banks, suppliers and customers.
• Work closely with freight forwarders, shipping lines and internal teams to ensure smooth order execution.
• Maintain accurate records and update order details in the ERP system.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in international trade, logistics or customer service.
• Good understanding of shipping documentation, Incoterms, cargo insurance and Letter of Credit processes.
• Experience using ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
