Logistics Executive

About the role

The client, a chemical trading and manufacturing company, is looking for an experienced Logistics Executive to manage their logistics operations in the UAE. The role focuses on coordinating sea, air, and land freight for chemical products, handling bulk cargo, and maintaining strong relationships with shipping partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage domestic and international shipments of chemical products.
• Prepare and evaluate freight costing for air, sea, and land quotations.
• Handle bulk cargo movements, vessel chartering, and container shipments.
• Negotiate freight rates and ensure cost‑effective shipping arrangements.
• Maintain documentation, track shipments, and resolve logistics issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of logistics experience in the UAE.
• Previous experience in chemical logistics or chemical trading operations.
• Established contacts with shipping companies, freight forwarders, and other shipping entities.
• Hands‑on experience with both sea and land freight operations.

Required skills

• Freight costing and quotation preparation.
• Sea freight operations, vessel chartering, and bulk cargo handling.
• Land freight coordination and road transportation management.
• Container shipment booking, scheduling, and documentation.
• Negotiation of freight rates and shipping contracts.
