Logistics Executive / Logistics Manager

About the role

The Logistics Executive / Logistics Manager will oversee the end‑to‑end flow of goods, ensuring accurate order processing, timely shipments, and effective coordination with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams. This role combines operational oversight with staff management to maintain high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Organise item orders, edit pricing, promotions and verify weight compliance.
• Check stock levels, anticipate delivery needs and place or expedite purchase orders.
• Arrange shipments by evaluating destination, route, rates and selecting appropriate carriers.
• Reconcile bills of lading, verify shipped quantities and resolve discrepancies.
• Communicate order status, availability and delivery details to customers and address inquiries.
• Process replacements, credits or returns for damaged, short or mis‑shipped items.
• Maintain confidentiality of pricing, promotions, purchase orders and credit limits.
• Interview, hire and onboard warehouse staff, delivering policy and procedure training.
• Delegate daily tasks to warehouse employees and monitor performance.
• Negotiate order terms and delivery conditions with suppliers and vendors.
• Collaborate daily with senior management and supply‑chain partners.
• Utilise logistics software to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in coordinating inbound and outbound logistics operations.
• Ability to manage inventory, order processing and shipment scheduling.
• Strong negotiation skills with suppliers and carriers.
• Experience interviewing, hiring and onboarding warehouse personnel.
• Effective communication with customers regarding order status and issues.
