Logistics Lead – UAE

About the role

Unilever is seeking a Logistics Lead for its operations in the United Arab Emirates. The role will drive the efficiency of warehouse and transportation activities, ensuring that products reach customers on time and in full while upholding Unilever’s quality and sustainability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse receiving, order preparation, shipment planning and dispatch based on customer requirements.
• Manage inbound and outbound logistics processes to achieve on‑time, in‑full (OTIF) delivery performance.
• Optimize truck utilisation and coordinate a dedicated fleet to service full volumes.
• Monitor third‑party logistics (3PL) performance, conduct regular reviews and maintain supplier relationships.
• Prepare and maintain accurate metrics, reports and process documentation for senior management.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on fleet and manpower planning to improve overall logistics efficiency.
• Lead reverse‑logistics operations, ensuring credit notes are issued within 24 hours.
• Analyse hiring data for fleet and manpower, driving cost‑reduction plans while preserving service levels.
• Mentor and develop the logistics team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure warehouse accuracy (99.9 % weekly reconciliation) and oversee quarterly physical stock counts.
• Lead health and safety initiatives in line with the company’s safety agenda.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing logistics operations and leading a team in a fast‑moving consumer goods environment.
• Strong track record of achieving OTIF delivery targets and optimizing transportation resources.
• Ability to analyse logistical problems, propose solutions and drive business development initiatives.
• Experience working with third‑party logistics providers and managing supplier performance.
• Commitment to health, safety and quality standards.
