Logistics Specialist – Data Center Operations

About the role

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support its Data Center Operations. The role is hands‑on, ensuring inventory availability, managing inbound shipments, and maintaining stock levels across data center sites to enable build and repair activities.

Key responsibilities

• Operate powered equipment such as forklifts and cherry pickers safely.
• Partner with the Logistics Manager to design and execute inventory flow plans, tracking location, age, and turnover.
• Collaborate with Data Center Technicians and Engineers to fulfill parts requests quickly and accurately.
• Work with Procurement and Hardware Engineering to purchase new components and manage RMAs with vendors.
• Maintain regular communication with vendors to resolve issues and align on business requirements.
• Support a 24/7 operational environment, including scheduling deliveries, pick‑ups, and loading/unloading shipments.

Required profile

• Hands‑on attitude with willingness to operate powered equipment.
• Strong high‑level communication skills for vendor interaction.
• Ability to work onsite in a data‑center environment with strict safety and security protocols.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, and lift objects for extended periods.
