Loss Prevention Engineer (2 openings)

About the role

PES Engineering, part of the Engineering Division of PES (a company founded in 1979), is recruiting two Loss Prevention Engineers in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The company delivers engineering and technical support services in the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Renewable Energy, Chemical, Petrochemical and Automotive sectors. Immediate joining is preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review technical documentation on safety and loss prevention engineering
• Take part in interdisciplinary document reviews and project coordination
• Develop Loss Prevention Philosophy, Safety Concepts and Fire Protection Design Basis documents
• Draw hazardous area classification drawings and schedules
• Develop Passive Fire Protection (PFP) specifications, schedules and layouts
• Prepare Fire & Gas Design Philosophy documents and detection layouts
• Develop safety equipment location plans, escape route layouts and safety signage drawings
• Design and characterize firefighting systems and their documentation
• Perform hydraulic calculations for firewater networks and spray systems
• Prepare specifications, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations and review vendor documentation
• Coordinate HAZID, HAZOP and other safety workshops, reviewing third-party consultant studies
• Prepare and review Firewater Network P&IDs and coordinate with drafting teams on engineering drawings

Required profile

• 10-15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry
• Offshore wellhead and/or process platform experience preferred
• Strong experience in loss prevention, fire protection and process safety engineering
• Familiarity with ADNOC, QatarEnergy, Shell and Saudi Aramco standards and international regulations
• Experience in multidisciplinary engineering projects and coordination activities
