Lower School Learning Coach

About the role

The Lower School Learning Coach provides face‑to‑face academic support to students at the iCademy Learning Hub. Working individually and in small groups, the coach helps learners engage with core subjects, develop foundational skills and become confident, independent students.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalized academic assistance in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies.
• Reinforce classroom instruction, clarify concepts and guide students through assignments, projects and assessments.
• Monitor daily attendance, track engagement and completion of work, and intervene promptly with students who fall behind.
• Build positive relationships, motivate participation, celebrate achievements and foster a growth mindset.
• Assist students in organizing their workload, planning tasks and developing effective study habits.
• Collaborate with teachers, Academic Advisors and parents to align support with curriculum expectations.

Required profile

• Experience working with elementary‑age learners in an educational setting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with students, staff and families.
• Ability to differentiate support based on individual needs and learning levels.
• Organizational skills to track progress, attendance and interventions.
• Commitment to promoting independence, accountability and confidence in students.
