M&A Senior Manager

About the role

EY Parthenon in Dubai is looking for an experienced M&A Senior Manager to join its high-performing team. The role supports clients in evaluating the strategic fit of businesses by analysing transactions, assessing synergies, managing the deal cycle, supporting negotiations and conducting financial modelling. It offers sector-focused advice throughout the sale process and helps execute acquisitions, alliances and mergers, potentially advising C-suite executives and boards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the execution of transactions across the client portfolio, preparing and reviewing client reports and key documentation for fundraising, acquisitions and disposals.
• Take part in business development, including preparing pitch books and other marketing materials and meeting existing and target clients.
• Originate and deliver transaction ideas, identify opportunities and open and leverage relationships.
• Project manage transactions, drive the transaction timetable, ensure quality of client deliverables and manage counterparties and other advisers so milestones are met.
• Identify and manage key business drivers, issues and risks through insight and advice.
• Lead, develop and counsel junior colleagues and contribute to the growth of the whole team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, ideally in finance or a related field from a reputable university.
• At least 7-8 years of experience in an M&A environment, including a key role in executing transactions.
• Experience in corporate finance within an investment bank, professional services firm or boutique, with a track record on buy-side and sell-side work and finance raising.
• Strong communication, presentation and project management skills.
• Ability to produce high-quality professional documents for clients and internally.
• Confident leadership, people management and problem-solving skills, able to prioritise in a fast-changing industry.

Required skills

• Strong numerical, financial and modelling skills based on a good understanding of financial statements.
• Sound judgement and the ability to generate creative solutions to problems.
