MAC Specialist – Automation & Control Lead

About the role

KBR is seeking a MAC Specialist to lead Monitoring, Automation and Control system activities for the ADNOC PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role bridges engineering, operations and digitalization to ensure safe, reliable and efficient asset performance.

Key responsibilities

• Act as PMC focal point for Monitoring, Automation, and Control system activities across the project lifecycle.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables related to ICSS, DCS, PLC, SCADA, ESD, F&G, Instrumentation, and telecommunications systems.
• Monitor EPC Contractor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements, specifications, and international standards.
• Coordinate interfaces between Automation, Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecom, Cybersecurity, and Operations disciplines.
• Participate in HAZOP, SIL assessments, FAT, SAT, IFAT, and integrated system testing activities.
• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, start‑up, and performance testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, Automation Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 + years experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, LNG or offshore projects.
• At least 5 years in a PMC, EPC or Owner’s Engineer role.
• Professional certifications in Automation, Control Systems, Cybersecurity or Digitalization are advantageous.
