Machinist – Automotive CNC & Precision Machining

About the role

AL TAIF is seeking a skilled Machinist to join its Overhaul Workshop in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on automotive and industrial machining, supporting the maintenance of land platforms and heavy vehicles for the UAE Armed Forces.

Key responsibilities

• Execute automotive machining tasks in line with technical manuals, KPIs and OEM specifications.
• Operate a range of CNC and conventional machines, including honing, boring, vertical and horizontal milling, crankshaft and camshaft grinding, magnaflux and metal disintegration equipment.
• Maintain and calibrate precision measuring instruments according to OEM data.
• Complete all required documentation such as work orders, labor hours, spare‑part requests and vehicle information.
• Perform cyclic inspections, preventive maintenance and service requests for machining equipment.
• Adhere to ISO 9001 quality procedures, safety, housekeeping and environmental directives.
• Account for issued tools, uniforms and personal protective equipment.
• Support workshop colleagues and fulfill additional tasks assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum of one year of experience in automotive or industrial machining.
• Previous training as an automotive machinist is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with automotive machining processes.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to operate CNC lathes and milling machines.
• Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft software.
