Maintenance Mechanical Engineer – Bihler

About the role

Eaton is seeking a Maintenance Mechanical Engineer to join its Dubai hub, supporting the new sustainable campus and advanced manufacturing lines. The role focuses on ensuring mechanical equipment reliability and continuous production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance strategies for mechanical systems.
• Analyze downtime, MTBF and MTTR, identify failure modes and drive corrective actions.
• Lead structured root‑cause analyses (RCA, A3, 5 Why) for cam‑controlled, injection‑molding and automated production equipment.
• Define inspection, lubrication, wear‑part replacement and overhaul intervals to minimise downtime.
• Own mechanical performance of critical equipment such as cam‑controlled forming machines and plastic injection molding units.
• Collaborate with production, toolmaking and engineering teams to improve machine stability and cycle‑time consistency.
• Deploy predictive maintenance techniques using condition data and failure trends.
• Support equipment commissioning, industrialisation and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong background in mechanical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with reliability analysis, MTBF/MTTR calculations and root‑cause problem solving.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with production, engineering and toolmaking teams.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement and equipment optimisation.

Required skills
