Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor will lead all preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance activities at the sand plant in Liwa. The role ensures that equipment, machinery and support systems operate safely, reliably and efficiently to sustain uninterrupted production and product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance of crushers, screens, conveyors, feeders, hoppers, pumps, motors, generators, loaders and associated mechanical/electrical systems.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.
• Coordinate and execute breakdown repairs promptly and safely.
• Inspect equipment regularly, identify defects and initiate corrective actions.
• Plan manpower, tools, spare parts and external support for routine and shutdown maintenance.
• Lead, coach and supervise technicians, fitters, electricians and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with HSE procedures, permit‑to‑work, lockout/tagout and environmental controls.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders and reports using approved systems.
• Monitor critical spare parts inventory and raise purchase requests as needed.
• Collaborate with operations, production, procurement and warehouse teams to align maintenance with plant priorities.
• Support root‑cause analysis of recurring failures and drive corrective actions.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance or a related technical discipline.
• 5‑8 years of maintenance experience in an industrial, sand processing, quarry or oil‑field environment.
• 2‑3 years of supervisory experience leading maintenance teams in a heavy‑industrial setting.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of rotating and static equipment, conveyors, screening systems, crushers and hydraulic systems.
