Mammographer – Breast Care Center

About the role

The Breast Care Center at American Hospital Dubai is seeking a qualified Mammographer to perform breast interventional procedures, ensure high‑quality imaging, and provide compassionate patient care. The role involves operating advanced mammography equipment, coordinating with physicians, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform breast interventional procedures such as stereotactic biopsy, torno‑guided biopsy, wire localization, and contrast‑enhanced mammography.
• Maintain and monitor radiographic equipment, report failures, and coordinate repairs with biomedical engineering.
• Ensure radiation safety by applying ALARA principles and adhering to DHA and FANR regulations.
• Document procedures, verify informed consent, and communicate findings to the ordering physician.
• Oversee daily operations of the Breast Care Center, including patient scheduling, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Radiography, Radiology Technology, or Medical Imaging.
• Active registration in home country and a valid Dubai Health Authority (DHA) license.
• Minimum two years of experience as a Mammographer with knowledge of breast interventional procedures.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Mammography and breast interventional procedures (stereotactic biopsy, torno‑guided biopsy, wire localization, contrast‑enhanced mammography).
• Operation and maintenance of radiographic equipment.
• Radiation safety practices, including ALARA.
• Use of Radiology Information System (RIS) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) testing in radiography.
