Manager Assets Governance & Performance

About the role

The Manager Assets Governance & Performance is responsible for authority‑wide asset governance, inventory, valuation, inspections and investment exploitation to maximise utilisation, revenue and data integrity across all RTA assets.

Key responsibilities

• Set and approve asset‑inventory strategies and plans, ensuring periodic reporting and senior‑management updates.
• Monitor acquisitions, use and disposals across agencies, approve technical and operational status reporting.
• Oversee electronic auctions for asset and material sales and manage investment‑asset rentals.
• Approve land and asset valuation frameworks and ensure timely system updates.
• Govern acquisition, scrapping and replacement systems, approving technical evaluations and periodic reports.
• Direct the exploitation of intangible assets and supervise implementation through organisational units.
• Own the periodic inventory‑check process, manage physical counts and report results.
• Coordinate authority‑wide asset registration, reconcile the Fixed Assets Register with Finance and ensure data accuracy.
• Manage smart‑tag implementation on outdoor assets and maintain GIS/location data standards.
• Explore and evaluate investment opportunities to enhance revenue generation.
• Govern asset‑performance indicators and analytics, set improvement plans and monitor contractor performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering.
• 9+ years of relevant experience (11+ years if holding a Bachelor’s degree).
• Preferred certifications: CAMA, ISO 55001 Implementer/Auditor.
