Manager – Internal Audit Quality & Excellence (IT Audits)

About the role

Masdar is seeking a Manager to lead internal audit quality and excellence initiatives for its IT audit function. The role involves delivering advisory and audit engagements that ensure internal controls meet objectives, promote efficiency, and comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage technical and non‑technical assurance and consulting engagements from planning through reporting.
• Liaise with the Quality Reviewer to ensure all deliverables undergo quality review before submission.
• Perform internal audit and advisory engagements covering the Renewable Energy Portfolio Management across head office and platform sites.
• Utilize advanced data analytics techniques to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in financial and operational data.
• Support the development and delivery of annual operational business plans and KPIs for the audit unit.
• Prepare and review the Risk and Control Matrix (RCM) and obtain approval from senior management.
• Execute audit engagements according to the plan, develop comprehensive working papers, and submit findings for quality review.
• Review work performed by field auditors and determine additional review needs to ensure a complete picture of commercial health.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading internal audit and advisory engagements.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment and control matrix preparation.
• Ability to work with renewable energy portfolio processes and enhance their efficiency.
• Excellent analytical mindset with a focus on data‑driven insights.
