Manager - Planning

About the role

The Manager – Planning will oversee the development, monitoring and control of construction programmes for large‑scale infrastructure projects. You will work closely with contractor planners, the project lead and cost control teams to ensure schedules are realistic, risks are identified early and project milestones are met.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and monitor procurement and construction programmes using Critical Path Method (CPM) for contractors, subcontractors and utilities.
• Produce weekly and monthly progress reports, graphs and critical‑path analyses.
• Report risks, opportunities and mitigation strategies to the Project Lead.
• Review actual progress against the baseline schedule and advise on early warnings of potential delays.
• Attend site, conduct independent visits and facilitate workshops with site supervision to capture real‑time progress.
• Support the Cost Control Team by highlighting programme risks and variation opportunities.
• Maintain comprehensive records of programme monitoring for project and cost control reporting.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in construction planning and schedule control (approximately 20 years as indicated by 240 months of experience).
• Strong understanding of construction scope, quantities and logical sequencing of disciplines.
• Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams on a daily basis.
