Manager, Strategy and Performance

About the role

The Manager, Strategy & Performance reports to the regional Chief Retail Officer and is responsible for analysing Talabat’s business performance, delivering data‑driven insights to senior management, conducting market analyses to uncover growth opportunities, leading special projects and ensuring the business meets its P&L targets.

Key responsibilities

• Translate Group‑level goals into localized grocery and retail strategies, lead annual budgeting and OKR cycles, and evaluate new market entry or service line opportunities.
• Analyse performance metrics, prepare comprehensive reports for senior leadership, and present actionable recommendations.
• Perform country‑specific deep‑dive analyses to identify turnaround, growth and profitability opportunities, and collaborate cross‑functionally to address performance issues.
• Develop and launch new products or services, create business use cases, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Partner with local teams on yearly budgeting, monitor adherence to budgets, and proactively pursue opportunities to exceed financial targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (MBA a plus) with 5+ years of experience in food delivery, e‑commerce or management consulting.
• Strong finance acumen, including P&L analysis, financial modelling and budgeting.
• Proficiency with data tools such as BigQuery, SQL and Looker, and solid analytical and communication skills.
• Experience creating presentations in PowerPoint/Google Slides and working with Excel/Google Sheets.
• Proven problem‑solving track record and ability to manage stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
