Managing Consultant / Senior Consultant – Quantum

About the role

You will play a key role in supporting complex disputes across the construction, infrastructure, energy and engineering sectors. Working alongside recognised industry experts, you will be involved in the preparation and evaluation of quantum claims, damages assessments and expert‑witness engagements, while helping clients navigate challenging commercial issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review quantum analyses, damages assessments and construction claims.
• Evaluate project records, contracts, cost documentation and financial data to establish claim entitlement and quantum.
• Support the preparation of expert reports for arbitration, litigation and other formal dispute‑resolution proceedings.
• Assist in developing and testing expert opinions through detailed technical and commercial analysis.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering high‑quality work and trusted advice.
• Support business‑development initiatives, including proposals, client‑engagement activities and market‑facing events.

Required profile

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience on construction, engineering, infrastructure or energy projects.
• Demonstrable experience preparing, assessing or managing quantum claims and commercial disputes.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, project commercial management and cost analysis.
• Excellent analytical, report‑writing and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience supporting dispute‑resolution proceedings (arbitration or litigation) is advantageous.
• Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., MRICS, AIQS, CIOB) is desirable.
