Managing Quantity Surveyor / Contract Administrator

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor / Contract Administrator to join its Commercial and Contracts team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves pre‑ and post‑contract commercial activities across engineering and construction projects, with flexibility to work from the head office or on‑site as business needs dictate.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients in procuring contractors, consultants and designers, preparing and reviewing tender documents.
• Manage downstream procurement for sub‑consultants and coordinate with internal procurement teams.
• Lead evaluation of variation orders, extensions of time and claims, and prepare reports for clients.
• Provide contractual advice to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring completeness and validity of contractual requirements.
• Oversee financial and contractual aspects of projects, including monthly payment applications, contractor cost records and final accounts.
• Audit contractor payments, monitor final cost estimates and coordinate wider team activities.

Required profile

• BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying degree from a recognised university.
• More than 5 years’ demonstrable experience in Quantity Surveying or Contract Administration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, especially for contractual correspondence.
• Proven ability to analyse contract variations and claims and work autonomously.
