Marine Inspector

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Marine Inspector to support marine and infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi, ensuring that construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor marine construction activities, including reclamation, dredging, rock placement, revetments, breakwaters, seawalls and other marine structures.
• Verify line, level, alignment, dimensions and placement of marine works.
• Witness field and laboratory testing, review test results and quality records.
• Review Inspection Requests, method statements, material approvals and technical submissions.
• Identify defects, non‑conforming works and site issues, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Coordinate with contractors, marine engineers, geotechnical engineers, surveyors, divers and other site teams.
• Support underwater inspection activities and monitor marine plant, equipment and construction procedures.
• Maintain daily inspection reports, photographs, records and relevant quality documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, Construction or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in marine construction inspection and supervision on major projects.
• Good knowledge of reclamation, dredging, rock placement, revetments, breakwaters, seawalls and marine edge protection.
• Experience with marine construction materials, testing, inspection procedures and quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret marine construction drawings and specifications.
• UAE experience on large marine or infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
