Marine Senior Superintendent

About the role

The Marine Senior Superintendent will oversee daily vessel operations, acting as the primary liaison between ships and the organization. This role ensures safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient vessel performance across all owned assets.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and respond to SIRE/CDI and flag inspections, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct pre‑vetting inspections and audits on vessels to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Manage port agency appointments, overseeing timely disbursements and invoicing for husbandry services.
• Monitor vessel transits through high‑risk areas, oversee security alert testing and liaise with service providers.
• Support vessel load and discharge operations in collaboration with commercial teams.
• Provide operational, safety, and emergency support to vessels and investigate navigational incidents.

Required profile

• Master Mariner (FG) certificate of competency.
• 3–7 years of sea‑time as Master on board a ship.
• Minimum 2 years of shore‑based experience as a Marine Superintendent.
• Valid Certificate of Competency.
