Material Coordinator – Fire Protection

About the role

We are seeking a Material Coordinator – Fire Protection to plan, procure, track, inspect and deliver materials for fire‑fighting and fire‑protection projects. The role works closely with procurement, engineering, warehouse, suppliers, subcontractors and project teams to ensure approved materials meet requirements and support timely installation, testing and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate material requirements for fire‑fighting and fire‑protection systems throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and monitor procurement schedules, trackers, expediting reports and delivery plans.
• Prepare material requisitions, purchase requests, purchase orders and related procurement documents.
• Engage with suppliers, manufacturers, subcontractors and logistics providers to obtain quotations, lead times and ensure timely deliveries.
• Follow up on material approvals, submittals, samples, compliance documents and supplier information.
• Monitor availability, lead times, shipments, deliveries and supply‑chain risks for fire pumps, sprinklers, valves, hydrants, hose reels, tanks, pipework, fittings, supports, extinguishers and other fire‑protection equipment.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, higher diploma or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
• Relevant experience as a Material Coordinator, Procurement Coordinator, Materials Controller or Logistics Coordinator on fire‑protection, MEP, mechanical or construction projects.
• Ability to review drawings, specifications, schedules, quantities, purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Strong commercial awareness, high accuracy, accountability and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
