Material Inspector

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Material Inspector to ensure that all materials used on construction projects in Abu Dhabi meet project specifications and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise on‑site material testing and sampling, witnessing laboratory and in‑situ tests performed by contractors or third‑party testers.
• Coordinate with the Work Inspector to approve testing plans and address any concerns.
• Perform rapid sampling and testing to avoid delays to contractor operations.
• Conduct regular checks of delivered materials for conformance with approved sources or suppliers.
• Support quality control and quality assurance activities.
• Assist senior inspectors and engineers in reviewing, approving, testing, and accepting materials.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or degree in a related field, or a Civil Engineering degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience on roads, bridges, concrete, and utilities projects.
• Ability to read and interpret working drawings, specifications, inspection and test plans, and method statements.
• Proficient in computer applications for data access, record keeping, and report generation.
