MCV Draftsman – Marine Drafting Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an MCV Draftsman to develop detailed marine drafting drawings for vessel stowage, sea fastening, mooring, and related engineering tasks. The role supports the commercial team and ensures compliance with P&O Maritime Logistics procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Review project technical requirements and select the optimal stowage and MCV from the fleet.
• Prepare sea‑fastening, lashing arrangement, structural steelwork, and other fabrication drawings.
• Develop mooring, ramp, and berthing arrangement drawings, including simulations as needed.
• Create load‑out and load‑in sequence drawings aligned with operational requirements.
• Provide technical support for MCV deployment strategies and customized design requests.
• Ensure all drawings comply with established procedures and technical guidelines.
• Create standardized drawing templates and assist technical engineers with drafting support.

Required profile

• Diploma or certification in Drafting or Marine Drafting.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in heavy‑lift and marine engineering drafting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Required skills

• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D drafting.
• Knowledge of Rhino software (plus).
