Mechanic – Earthmoving Equipment (UAE)

About the role

The Earthmoving Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of earthmoving equipment such as excavators, wheel loaders, bulldozers, telehandlers, and dump trucks. The role ensures that all machinery is maintained in safe, reliable, and operational condition in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on excavators, wheel loaders, bulldozers, telehandlers and related machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults involving engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, pumps, hoses, filters, belts and bearings.
• Carry out routine servicing including lubrication, oil changes, inspections and system checks.
• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical systems.
• Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment to accurately identify faults and verify repairs.
• Complete work orders, maintenance reports and service records accurately and on time.
• Support breakdown maintenance activities and emergency repairs as required.
• Maintain personal tools and equipment in good working condition.

Required profile

• High school diploma or technical certification in mechanical or automotive technology.
• 2–5 years of experience maintaining earthmoving equipment.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, power‑train components and basic electrical systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics and repair instructions.
• Good physical condition, manual dexterity and strong attention to detail.
