Mechanic – Maintenance Execution

About the role

The Mechanic will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing rotating equipment and machinery in an industrial environment. The role involves both routine and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive and predictive maintenance checks according to schedules and check‑lists.
• Dismantle, assemble and replace components to carry out corrective repairs on defective equipment.
• Conduct start‑up tests, monitor performance and report any out‑of‑tolerance readings.
• Install new equipment, modify existing systems and support start‑up and shutdown of critical machinery.
• Participate in annual shutdowns, major turnarounds and coordinate major equipment removal for workshop overhaul.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma or secondary school certificate with a vocational trade qualification.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in heavy‑equipment mechanical repairs within the oil & gas or power‑plant sector.
• Ability to work in A/C‑controlled environments and tolerate occasional heat, humidity and dust during site visits.
