Mechanical BIM Modeler

About the role

Fatherson International FZE is hiring a Mechanical BIM Modeler in Sharjah on a full-time basis. The role covers developing and maintaining 3D BIM models of mechanical systems such as HVAC, ducting, chilled water piping and ventilation, and coordinating them with other building services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 3D BIM models of mechanical systems using Autodesk Revit, including HVAC, ducting, chilled water piping and ventilation.
• Prepare coordinated mechanical BIM models, shop drawings, sections, elevations and installation drawings.
• Coordinate mechanical models with electrical, plumbing, firefighting and other disciplines.
• Perform clash detection and resolve coordination issues using Autodesk Navisworks Manage.
• Ensure models comply with approved design drawings, project specifications and the BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
• Update models after design revisions, site changes and consultant comments, and extract quantities, schedules and material data when needed.
• Work with BIM coordinators, engineers and draftsmen to meet project deadlines, and support as-built model preparation.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in mechanical BIM modeling, preferably in the UAE or Gulf region.
• Good knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, chilled water piping and mechanical services coordination.
• Experience in clash detection, BIM coordination and shop drawing preparation.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and project specifications.
• Immediate joiners preferred.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP and Navisworks Manage.
• Knowledge of BIM standards, LOD requirements and BIM Execution Plans.
• Good coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
