Mechanical Construction Manager

About the role

Lead site execution of mechanical MEP works, translating approved engineering into safe, high‑quality and productive installation across HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire‑fighting and associated systems.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and control daily mechanical construction activities according to drawings, method statements and project programme.
• Develop look‑ahead plans, manpower and equipment forecasts, and coordinate access, logistics and material readiness.
• Supervise engineers, supervisors, foremen and subcontractors, setting measurable productivity targets.
• Ensure installations comply with shop drawings, specifications, codes and manufacturer requirements.
• Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, civil, architectural and specialist trades to avoid clashes.
• Review site constraints with BIM team, close RFIs and provide coordinated solutions.
• Work with QA/QC to plan inspections, pressure tests, flushing, duct leakage tests and close NCRs promptly.
• Enforce HSE requirements, RAMS, permits and safe systems of work, participating in safety walks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of mechanical construction experience on large MEP projects.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage and fire‑fighting installation and testing.
• Proven ability to manage large labour forces and multiple subcontractors across work fronts.
• Experience on UAE/GCC high‑rise, residential, hotel or mixed‑use projects is strongly preferred.
• Good knowledge of HSE, QA/QC and commissioning requirements for mechanical works.
