Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team in the United Arab Emirates. The role involves designing, developing and supervising mechanical systems for building projects while ensuring compliance with quality, safety and efficiency standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design of building projects and generate concepts that meet client requirements.
• Manage and review team performance, provide clear deliverables and distribute tasks.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, clients and project managers during design meetings.
• Prepare drawings, presentations, reports and correspondence related to design activities.
• Conduct value engineering to optimise designs and reduce costs.
• Monitor financial aspects of projects in collaboration with the finance department.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering design.
• Proven ability to lead a multidisciplinary design team.
• Strong understanding of UAE building codes and project documentation.
• Excellent communication skills for client and internal coordination.
