Mechanical Designer & FEA Analyst – Aerospace Structures

About the role

The Mechanical Designer & FEA Analyst will design, analyze, verify, and document aerospace structures, propulsion hardware, test articles, and ground support equipment. The role combines advanced mechanical design with finite element analysis to deliver lightweight, manufacturable, and structurally sound components that meet aerospace standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings for aerospace structures and related hardware.
• Perform FEA simulations to evaluate stress, deformation, stiffness, buckling, modal response, and structural margins.
• Prepare manufacturing drawings with dimensions, tolerances, GD&T, surface finish, material specifications, and inspection requirements.
• Support design verification, technical documentation, and design reviews throughout the development lifecycle.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, testing, integration teams, and external suppliers to resolve design‑for‑manufacturing issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in mechanical design and structural analysis for aerospace applications.
• Proven ability to develop lightweight, manufacturable, and structurally efficient components.

Required skills

• 3D CAD modeling and detailed drawing creation.
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for stress, deformation, and stability assessment.
• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack‑up analysis.
• Technical documentation preparation, including design reports and BOMs.
• Collaboration with cross‑functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
