Mechanical Draftsman – Heavy Earthmoving Machinery

About the role

Al Marwan Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Draftsman to join its engineering and workshop team in Sharjah. The role focuses on creating detailed 2‑D and 3‑D drawings for heavy earth‑moving equipment, supporting fabrication and CNC machining processes.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate 2‑D mechanical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop 3‑D models of components and assemblies in SolidWorks.
• Generate fabrication and manufacturing drawings for excavators, loaders, bulldozers, attachments and related parts.
• Perform reverse‑engineering of existing machinery components.
• Prepare drawings suitable for CNC, laser, plasma and water‑jet cutting.
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, fabricators and machinists to ensure drawings are production‑ready.
• Maintain drawing records and technical documentation, updating them as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mechanical Draftsman in the heavy earth‑moving machinery sector.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with workshop teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2‑D.
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks.
• Experience with reverse engineering of mechanical components.
• Understanding of CNC machining and fabrication processes.
• Familiarity with laser, plasma and water‑jet cutting technologies.
