Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support our Senior Cost Analyst in developing product price lists, preparing costings for customized units, and assisting the sales team with pricing requirements. The role works closely with engineering, R&D, production and procurement to drive cost‑reduction and value‑engineering initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in creating and auditing product price lists to ensure alignment with catalogues.
• Prepare costing and pricing for customized equipment and special options.
• Support value‑engineering and value‑analysis projects.
• Update price lists based on design, material and operational cost changes.
• Analyse raw‑material and component price fluctuations.
• Verify and approve sales orders in the ERP system and monitor quotations for pricing discrepancies.
• Audit BOMs and routing data to ensure accurate pricing information.
• Coordinate with procurement to maintain component price books and ensure correct standard costs in ERP LN.
• Maintain documentation, perform weekly data backups and act as Cost Planner when required.
• Execute any additional tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail, self‑motivated and task‑oriented.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., ERP LN).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Data analysis and forecasting tools.
