Mechanical Engineer – MEP Design Compliance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead the review and compliance of MEP designs for major projects in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure that HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, district cooling, grey water treatment and automated waste management systems meet project specifications, codes and sustainability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Review MEP designs (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, district cooling, grey water treatment, automated waste management) for compliance with project specifications, codes and sustainability standards.
• Analyse energy performance and propose optimisation measures to improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
• Identify design discrepancies, prepare detailed review reports and coordinate corrective actions with architects, engineers and contractors.
• Verify that all designs meet relevant building codes, Mostadam and LEED requirements and support installation, testing and commissioning activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Plumbing Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of MEP experience, with at least 8 years in the UAE.
• Proven experience in construction supervision within a consultancy environment, preferably on high‑rise or villa projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
