Mechanical Engineer – UAE National (Full‑Time)

About the role

Artelia Airports is seeking a motivated UAE National Mechanical Engineer to join the Design Team and contribute to the successful delivery of aviation, building and infrastructure projects. The role supports senior engineers in designing, coordinating and delivering mechanical building services systems while ensuring compliance with project requirements, codes, standards, quality objectives and schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in concept, detailed design and construction documentation for HVAC, plumbing, drainage and fire‑protection systems.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications and construction drawings.
• Support compliance with international and local codes, standards and authority submission procedures.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design reviews and integrate mechanical systems into BIM models.
• Maintain project documentation, records and quality‑controlled archives.
• Assist senior engineers in resolving design coordination issues and liaising with sub‑consultants and suppliers.

Required profile

• UAE Family Book holder with 2‑5 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Ministry of Education equivalency where applicable).
• Good understanding of HVAC, plumbing, drainage and fire‑protection systems.
• Basic knowledge of UAE statutory authority requirements and relevant international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, IMC, UAE Fire Code).
• Familiarity with sustainable building design principles and energy‑efficient systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP and Microsoft Office; experience with BIM processes.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage parallel tasks and meet tight deadlines.
