Mechanical Inspector

About the role

The Mechanical Inspector will ensure that scaffolding and false‑work installations meet international standards and local regulations. Working on site in Dubai, you will conduct inspections, prepare reports and keep up‑to‑date with quality and safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform thorough inspections against relevant standards and EIAC requirements, and issue reports or certificates.
• Maintain internal quality documentation, follow technical procedures and verify equipment calibration before each inspection.
• Assess risk, identify defects, and ensure compliance with federal legal and quality standards.

Required profile

• Graduate Engineer or Diploma Engineer in Mechanical discipline with at least 6 years of scaffolding‑related engineering experience (or 2 years with a BEng degree).
• Completed training in quality foundation, safety awareness, BV procedures, TG20 guidance and comprehensive scaffolding modules.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of international scaffolding codes and standards (BS EN 12811‑1/2/3, BS EN 74‑1/2/3, BS 5975).
• Familiarity with EIAC requirements and risk‑assessment techniques.
• Ability to interpret warning signs, tagging systems and loading capacities of scaffolding platforms.
